Well since we have been on the topic of armrest for the last week or two I thought I would post some pics of my first attempts. These rests are done similar to what Tony Karol does and many thanks to Tony for showing me how it is done. This design is much simpler than the Laskin style that John posted pictures of a few days ago. The two different designs give different looks. I found the worst part of this was the binding, especial on the ribrest. I have taken lots of pictures of the process and maybe I can get the whole thing up here in the future. These things are sure a lot of work, but they do make the guitar really nice to hold.
There you are. I still have to clean them up a bit, but you get the idea. I know I need to do a few more before I really get the hang of these things, but I'm happy for a first try.
